It accounts for over $4 billion in retail sales in the U.S. economy every year. Industrial products may suffer from highs and lows. But the toy industry keeps chugging along, cranking out new innovations to entertain the nation's youth. And now with the nation's annual birth rate running at close to 4 million, the demand for new toy concepts is not likely to slow down any time soon.
One of the more popular and reliable toy categories consists of water-related devices. Witness the recent success of the Super-Soaker™ . Now a new entry comes to the water toy category, a concept that adds a whole new dimension to this field-mobility. "Water Wheels"™ consists of a self-contained, mechanical pump-operated squirt gun system attached to the bicycle. For smaller children a battery operated pump could be used.
The central component of this device is a storage tank attached to the bicycle's frame. A main tank, fabricated from pliable material such as plastic or neoprene, is positioned along the frame bar extending from below the handlebars down toward the pedals. A second (optional) tank could be installed behind the seat. A connection hose runs from the bottom of the water storage tank to plastic squirt guns mounted on the handlebars. Similar (optional) guns are also mounted behind the seat, facing toward the rear of the bike.
The guns are set to be adjusted or can be aimed independently and separately from front to rear by a hand/thumb lever system. The bicycle rider does not have to turn the handle bars and steer into the firing target. The rider only needs to move the thumb lever to aim the guns and then push a button to fire the water guns, avoiding accidents.
A pump powered by the motion of the bicycle's front wheel operates the flow of the water. A series of control buttons are mounted on the handlebars, within a close proximity of the handgrips. The bike rider uses these buttons to activate the squirt guns. By pressing the button corresponding to a given squirt gun, water is drawn under pressure from the storage tank, channeled through the gun, and propelled outward at a distance of up to fifty feet. With this configuration, the guns can be activated and "fired" without need for the operator of the bicycle to reduce in any way the degree of control required to safely operate the bike. "Water Wheels"™ concept is also different from any other kind of squirt gun or toy because it has an added feature for all ages with the tube extension from the top of the tank which would allow the rider if "hot" to pull up the extension tube toward the face and get a "fresh cold drink" of water or by pressing the push button, to "mist" themselves in the face with "cool water".
"Water Wheels"™ can be offered as either an after-market product to be fitted to an existing bicycle or as optional equipment to be included with the purchase of a new bike. "Water Wheels"™ is an innovative newly patented concept which is being offered for licensing to an appropriate manufacturer or investor. This is a great ground floor investment opportunity for any individual or company.
